Logic Vacancy, University of Wisconsin, Madison
Associate (tenured) or Assistant Professor (tenure-track) opening, beginning August 2005. Four courses per year, undergraduate and graduate. Usual non-teaching duties. AOS: Logic and Philosophical Logic. AOC: Open, but candidates with strengths in Philosophy of Mathematics or Origins of Analytic Philosophy are especially encouraged to apply. Candidates must be qualified to teach in a strong Ph.D. program. Assistant Professor candidates must show evidence of outstanding teaching and research potential. Associate Professor candidates must have demonstrated excellence in teaching and research. Salary competitive. Candidates for Assistant Professor should send a CV, three confidential letters of recommendation, a writing sample and a phone number at which they may be reached in late December. Candidates for Associate Professor should send a CV and a list of references. Preliminary interviews may be held at the December APA convention.
