PhD student position (2y; 'wissenschaftliche Hilfskraft'), Osnabrück (Germany)
We invite applications for a two-year PhD position at the Institute of
Cognitive Science at the University of Osnabrueck, Germany:

One extension of 12 months is possible. The position will commence October 1, 2007, 80 hrs. per month as a research assistant (wissenschaftliche Hilfskraft).
Candidates should be about to complete or should have completed a two-year masters programme or equivalent in philosophy (with a focus on philosophy of cognition, philosophy of mind, or philosophy of biology) or cognitive science. The successful candidate is expected to work in a research project entitled Evolutionary Anthropology Can Biology Explain Culture? and will be given the opportunity to complete a PhD thesis in Cognitive Science or Philosophy.
Candidates are invited to submit a letter of interest, a curriculum vitae, a research proposal, and, possibly, a letter of recommendation. The deadline for applications is July 15, 2007, decision about acceptance will be made by August 1, 2007.
