2 postdoctoral position in theoretical computer science/logic and artificial intelligence, Warsaw (Poland)

In the following months, there should be an opening for up to 2 postdoctoral positions at the Institute of Fundamental Technological Research, Polish Academy of Sciences, based in Warsaw, Poland. We will be seeking candidates with background in at least one of the following: - theoretical computer science - logic - computational learning theory - computational social choice - artificial intelligence - machine learning.

The position(s) would be part of a new team focused on theoretical problems in machine learning and artificial intelligence. The candidate will be expected to collaborate with the rest of the team but they would be given relative freedom in choosing what they want to work on. No teaching is required. There is also a possibility of employing a predoctoral candidate, who would then be expected to join the Institute's doctoral program next year. The initial contract would be for 1 year with possible extension for the next 2 years. After 3 years the candidate might be offered a tenured position, should their research output be satisfactory.
