Games that Make Sense: logic, language, and interaction
Johan van Benthem

Abstract:
This is a light discussion of how games can model
quite different aspects of natural language use,
the various connections with logic which arise
in this way, and the interactive architecture
of combined games which is needed to this end.
The text will appear as a commentary to Gabriel
Sandu's chapter on language and games in logic
and computer science, in the Proceedings of a
2007 ILLC KNAW Workshop, edited by Krzysztof
Apt and Robert van Rooij, "Texts in Logic and
Games", Amsterdam University Press, Amsterdam.
