12-13 November 2010, Leonardo-Kolleg Workshop 2010: "Intelligence, Reflection and the Good Life", Erlangen, Germany
The Leonardo-Kolleg Workshop 2010 "Intelligence, Reflection and the Good Life" is organized by a multi-disciplinary committee of former scholars of the Leonardo-Kolleg of the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, supported by the Leonardo Kolleg, the Zentralinstitut für Angewandte Ethik und Wissenschaftskommunikation (ZIEW), and the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg.
We are honored to announce Prof. Henk Barendregt (Radboud University Nijmegen, Spinoza Price laureate) as one of the keynote speakers.
The workshop will take place at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, at its main site in Erlangen.
Important Information and Dates
Begin: Friday, 12. November 2010, 17:00 h
End (tent.): Saturday, 13. November 2010, 17:00 h
Registration: Advance registration of participants is strongly recommended. Still, a possibility for on-site registration will be offered.
Workshop fee: No workshop fee will be raised. The participants themselves will have to cover their housing and boarding expenses. All registered participants will be offered free beverages and a lunch buffet on Saturday.
Accomodation: The participants will have to take care of their accomodation by themselves. Advance booking is strongly recommended.
Call for Papers
Advanced students and young researchers from all academic areas are invited to submit contributions addressing the workshop's topic "Intelligence, Reflection and the Good Life". Both, submissions addressing one of the aforementioned subtopics, as well as submissions addressing the entire complex, are equally welcome.
Submission deadline: Sunday, 15.08.2010
Accepted contributions will be published in the Workshop Proceedings, as well as online via the OPUS service of the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg.
Provided that the quantity and quality of submissions justifies a book or a special journal issue, authors of accepted papers will be invited to submit extended versions of their papers for such a publication.
