INSTRUCTORSHIP (Non tenure-track)

The Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies seeks applications for an Instructor position in Philosophy beginning Fall, 2007. Qualifications: MA degree in Philosophy is required; Ph.D preferred. Area of Specialization: Philosophy of Mind or Philosophy of Language; Area of Competence: Logic. The successful applicant must be capable of and interested in teaching a first course in symbolic logic (covering material found in, e.g., the first thirteen chapters of Barwise and Etchemendys 'Language, Proof, and Logic') on a regular basis. Responsibilities: teach four three-credit courses per semester. Position is for one year with the possibility of renewal. Review of applications will begin on April 9, 2007, and will continue until candidate is selected.
